The website contains a searchable database of 115 completed and ongoing projects related to Hurricane Katrina, and the effects of race and socio-economic class on the recovery and rebuilding efforts. KRPE also has a list/serve to which you can subscribe where you will find some 500 subscribers representing 141 organizations and institutions from around the country interested in exactly how this nation responds to the needs of those with the fewest resources when a catastrophe strikes. Inspired by all of this activity and armed with the knowledge acquired there, we are all empowered to do more to ensure that there is a just resolution to the challenges faced by our fellow citizens.
